"l'ennui" literally translates to "the trouble", but in France it's sort of equivalent to the English word "melancholy". I think of it as that unshakable somber mood we sometimes find ourselves in on a dreary winter's day. My amazingly talented friend, Rich Eberle, shot this set in an abandoned house across the street from his apartment. It was about thirty degrees that day and there were shards of broken glass and chunks of jagged concrete covering the floor. We both suffered through this shoot so I have to thank him for his patience and overwhelming talent. ~xo
