WHEN: Saturday Aug 19 @ 6:00 pm
WHERE: Water Taxi Beach
Come have fun in the sun and dance under the stars! Meet your fellow SGNY'ers and also a visiting Subrosa.
If you're unfamiliar with water taxi beach, it's an amazing little hideaway spot on the east river equipped with artificial sand, picnic tables, beach volleyball, a bar, a grilling area serving food, and of course an amazing view of NYC. There's music during the day near the bar area, and even more music at night in the larger tent area after 8 PM. Expect fairly tyipcal beach music early, then house and techno later that evening, so bring your dancing shoes.
I'll try and scope out a table early. Look for balloons or something comparitively festive! Food and booze is available on the premises, but you can also BYO if you come early. Not sure what happens later in the evening.

I was supposed to head off to Europe few years ago. I had a large sum saved up so I quit my job, decided to take a six-month intermission, planned out this crazy trip through ALL 34 countries in Europe, and came up with a pretty good figure of what it would cost to get around over a 45 day period. I was just about to start purchasing all of my tickets and start making all of my hotel arrangements when some friends called me to tell me that they needed to borrow some money. I ask how much? They give me a figure. I almost ate my hand. They were behind on their house and needed the cash or else they were have it taken from them.
I still haven't been to Europe. Oh, well. One of these days.
I hate that time of year. The "Waiting to move out" season just isn't one I'm fond of. At least after it's over the weather is a little better and fun times normally follow. Plus, half the fun of breaking up is falling in love again at a different juncture (even if is just for the night .) The freedoms afforded by the loss of a particular romance allows us to pursue other endeavours and can be an enrichment experience. Or it can just be a time to get fucked up. I prefer the latter .
Well, I hope your day goes as you want it to go. Be safe, have fun, travel far.
Hey there. Ran across your profile in a common group and wanted to say howdy. Enjoy Europe; I've been planing two big trips this year - Amsterdam also, and the interior of Iceland (an expedition-type thing with my bro) - that I hope I can take the time for myself, since work stuff is great but crazy now.
What's your favorite part of Paris? I love it and need to spend more time there myself.
yeah me too... yeah i am leaving new york and going back to chicago... I need to finish school so i can advance my art skills and move up in my current corp. latter journey.... oh well, new york is a changed place. And chicago has exactly what i need. maybe i'll move back when there is a democrat in the mayors office, and a stead rise in mind crime....
