Great pictures. What a great place to go for such a party / vigil / wake. You're also so terribly lovely.
This is the exact trainer i was in. Basically a mock-up of a helicopter and you get submerged and capsized then have to make your escape to surface. The place has 2 big deep pools, water is about 26C or so which sounds like a lot but is 10C less than your core body temp! You wear swimming costume and a boiler suit they supply, and then a survival drysuit over the top of that. It's bloody cold though! Scary when you think that in the winter the north sea can drop to only 5C!!! In that you only have a few minutes survival time even in a survival suit and thermals, you have to get out the water somehow or you're fucked.
