I might have to check out that book. The overview for the class I took used the book by Barry, and it wasn't too good. At least I didn't think so. I didn't come away with an understanding of Deconstructionism, which seemed to be popular among the people who "got it."
My teacher, who could be really cool (though full of herself as well), is a huge Pixies fan. She likened "Here Comes Your Man" to Deconstructionism, but I never really made the connection. The lyrics are kind of ambiguous, but I never got to an understanding of Foucault (for example) for it to seem even ambiguous.
