i'm a wee bit tipsy (thanks work dinner!) so i can't bear to think of pop music at the time...
but in talking about dirty-assed philly, i am reminded of a fond memory of when i was working in center city, walking the underground concourse between suburban station and broad street station...one day at the beginning of winter, there appeared a pile of feces next to the fountain near city hall right before you enter the main concourse. this lovely pile of human poo (yes, it was very undeniably from a man ass) remained in this rather conspicuous location for MONTHS. i watched it fondly every morning on my way to work, wondering with little to no expectation when it would actually be removed. it petrified, i believe it became a life form of its very own, and ran away of its own volition, grown tired of being dumped unceremoniously upon a very slippery (oh so slippery in wintry weather) concrete floor. i was almost sad the day it finally disappeared, sometime in april.
that's all i have to offer for now...time to send my silly self to sleepyland in anticipation of yet another arduous day of ridiculous work deadlines and harrowness.
