The guy who did this is a total douchewaffle. Kudos to you for making your positive spin on the situation!

I can't even find a way to spin this to make it positive.  I personally took down all my sets and have stopped contributing to this site because of the other sites that steal and make money off of photos that I put here. When SG starts protecting their images, I may try again, but I couldn't be ok with having crazy foreign sites charging others for my images that SG didn't even pay me for.  I now (unfortunately) spend a lot of my time removing my images from other sites who stole it from here.  I think this is a huge shame, but honestly, there is no protection on this site whatsoever, and anyone who is upset about people potentially stealing their Instagram photos should be made aware of the fact that the SG website is completely unprotected and the second a set goes live (often even before it goes live), it is on several websites across the globe and those photos are all free for people to use how they want - as art, to make a profit, as their own imagery, however.  I've even found sets that we're yet unreleased or that I could not find with extensive SG searches on these websites, so my best assumption is that someone who works at SG is actually selling/trading them to outside sources.  I think the thing everyone should take away from this is that nothing you post on the internet belongs to you anymore, few people respect you and almost everyone will take advantage of a situation when the loopholes are there.  As much as I love SG, their huge lack in protecting their models, their images, etc. has really ruined it for me, and this IG/Richard Prince thing is just another example of what can happen because of it.  SG takes imagery they haven't even purchased, puts it on their IG, and gives millions of people a chance to utilize it however they want.  They also allow full resolution images to be easily downloaded, which means that no one actually needs a membership to view your sets, they simply need a link and a browser.  As someone who started working in web development after I started my SG adventure, I have been absolutely horrified and insulted by how this site functions and how little privacy protection there is, and I'm super upset that I allowed myself to think that these images were somehow protected.  I hope this is motivation for SG to actually work on security measures for their site, I used to think this was a really beautiful place to go and share things, but now it really just seems more like a porn site.  It is now one of the most popular sites on the internet to steal content from, because SG has put zero effort into protecting their models.  The worst part is, almost all of these girls are taking their free time and advertising for SG in IG and Tumblr and recruiting followers for the main site on IG, giving people photos to steal and they are not even getting paid.  I used to really want to be pink, it was something I'd aspired to since 2006, it represented something, but I don't know that I feel like it's the same game anymore.  Every established model, cam girl, porn star or IG-famous person who posts a set becomes an SG, every girl they hire for the burlesque show becomes an SG - the choice of FP has nothing to do with the members anymore.  And even if it was, I really don't think I'm ok with the direction this site is going in.  If I wanted my photos in a creepy Russian sex site for free, I could have done that a long time ago.  I wanted to be part of SG because it was special, unique and exclusive, but that is just not the case anymore.  Next thing you know, they'll be selling this site to Playboy.

The Chive posted A SuicideGirls Gallery on their site! Go Check it out!
