This Easter weekend, I spent it with family new and old.
Friday I went to visit my mom's family, and it was actually the first time I saw my nephew! He's so cute! I feel like a bad aunt! He's almost 1! The food was great, and healthy! Yumm.
Saturday I went to see the boy's family up at their cottage. It was beautiful! I stayed over with them, even though I was scheduled to work a 10-4 shift on Sunday. I had warned them that I wouldn't be able to make it, but didn't actually talk it out with management, and I could have gotten fired for what I did, but my manager said that would be a stupid thing to do, seeing as he really respects me and thinks I have good work ethic. So I was spared, and yet... It was worth the suspense to be up north with my boy. I really got to connect with nature, which I haven't really had a good chance of doing for awhile! Everyone there was lovely and so welcoming into their family. This would be the second time I've attended one of their family functions... I feel so special!
The food was lovely, the company was great, there was a trampoline, we were right on the water front, and I couldn't ask for much more. I even got a bit of chocolate from my boyfriend's mom. She's so sweet!
Then I came back to reality, and I'm now waiting... waiting, waiting, waiting! I want to see my new set so badly! See how it tuned out! I'm so nervous, because I want it to turn out a certain way.
I think I'm going to make a trip to Ohio for early June. A Solo trip to see a few people, maybe shoot a set or two, and start exploring. I'm going to work on making this trip happen! It would just be for the weekend, but That would be the first time I'd get out of Canada. Exciting!
Shit... two weeks til my birthday!... I think I'm going to go on a day of exploring by myself, and see if I feel like partying for it or not .
I'm now on a day off, and will shortly make my way downtown, but I wanted to show you a little something!
