I Wish I had a bike trail on my city... I just can ride on only on sundays when there's low traffic... the other days it's almost a Kamikaze mission to go anywhere

they have bike groups all over the world that participate in monthly "critical mass" bike rides, and trails at state parks are a great place if you like the tougher terrain for mountain bikes. one of the bike groups I bike with is on facebook, bikes and murder is one and detroit bike city is also on facebook. if I only had enough money to travel the world, I would visit everywhere and I would bring my bike!

we travel in large groups through Detroit. I am starting to look into mountain biking trails, and taking long trips as well...like a 3 day bike ride up north (300ish) miles one way...

yesterday I took a bike ride with my friend beth from ferndale up woodward to downtown detroit and then rode through downtown for a bit and headed back so it ended up being about 30-40 miles from 6-1030pm, we were in a hurry to get back because it got dark out and we are two white girls riding bikes through detroit after two teenage boys went to detroit to by drugs got their shit stolen and ended up dead in a field shot in the head... i dont scare easy but def not going to hang around after dark
