know how you feel, moving is such shit. I feel the same way about my old house- it too was oof the street, gorgeous with a deck and skylights and when everyone left it, it was a sad moment. back to generic apartment complexes for me...
I put on my mp3 and dance around the house when I clean. I get a work-out and clean at the same time. Ooo, and lots of coffee.
Then, stand back. Let it burn. Then, call your insurance agency and report a fire. Say you saw some kids throwing gas or some other flammable substance on your cleaning area.
Collect insurance money. Buy clean house, apartment, whatever.
When it gets dirty again, repeat the above steps.
A hassle? Sure. But not as much hassle as having to actually clean.
