Hi gang!
I'm well and truly back from New Zealand but life has just been so crazy-busy that I haven't had a chance to update my blog on here or be online at all really boo.
Here are some pictures though, hopefully that makes up for my lameness:
That's rather a lot of ice... the Fox Glacier, I went on a tour and climbed it. It was pretty surreal standing on so much ice.
xoxo
That's the hot springs at Maruia Springs which was an authentic style little Japanese place in the middle of nowhere. It was freezing cold outside but the springs were lovely!
Anyone who cares to explain this one to me can go right ahead. I found this sign in the middle of Bumfuck Nowheresville.
Pelennor fields...
Mt Cook National Park was amazing. I actually shot a set at the foot of these mountains and it's pending Staff Review/Member Review right now, here's a couple of teasers because I can't help myself:
While I was shooting I just kept looking around and saying 'I can't believe I'm the one who gets to shoot this set!' I feel like a Tolkien/LOTR themed set shot in NZ would have been done by now, but I don't think it has so I am pretty proud of myself for going ahead and doing it. The valley I shot in was actually filmed for Return of the King as a location and it's right near where the Pelennor Fields battle was shot. I couldn't even believe I was STANDING there let alone shooting there. It still hasn't really sunk in. That whole film series is so larger than life. I was a mess at The Hobbit's premiere here in Aus. I saw the film on Boxing Day and it was pretty ace. I've loved Tolkien forever.
Christchurch has a temporary 'Shipping Crate' city, it's really cool, I am sad that so much of the CBD was destroyed in the earthquake, it was so beautiful.
This is what was on the other side of the chicken wire
Since I've been back, I've been in a couple of Aussie publications (ew, please don't look for too long, it's terrible).
Also, if you go check out the merch store here on SG, you'll notice there are a few pictures of me floating around including these ones. I'm pretty stoaked that I get to promote the site like this, definitely makes me very proud and happy!
And here's a little candid for you guys, not sure if I posted it last blog, but even if I did it bears posting again.
So now I'm just chilling, trying to catch up on all the work I missed being overseas. Submitting this photo set was just the top of the list of crap I have to do. I hate being behind on stuff. I think I'll be caught up and back to regular life once the new year begins though. In 2013, I really want to start having more of a rhythm to life. I find that everything about my life at the moment is erratic. A Monday is as meaningless as a Friday to me. I work whenever, I do groceries whenever, I sleep whenever. I think I need to schedule life a bit more. For productivity but also general wellbeing. So I guess that's my goal for this new year. That and exercise and sunshine. I need more of both of those things. And tattoos.
I also have windows 8 now! And you know what? I don't hate it yet. I guess we'll see how that goes.
xoxo

I miss youuuuu! Coming to my 'hood any time soon? And I kept trying to find the magazine with you in it so I could keep it for when you become famous or something...but I never found one.
Anyway, hope things are going well with everything in your realm! *hug*
