Hi everyone! I wanted to write this blog sooner but my keyboard decided it didn't want to work anymore so I had to get a new one (booo).

I can't believe it's been 20 years since SG launched, I've been a part of the site for 13 years (first set out in 2008 and went pink in 2009) and it really doesn't feel that long...

Fleeting thought it's time on the site was, I have never forgotten, and have such fond memories of the outfit with the black corset, and red and white pinstriped shirt that, along with your hair, eye makeupβ€”the bandanaβ€”and your presence in the camera, all worked so well together in unperturbedΒ exuberance.

@drocculari Thank you. I really liked that set too.

Hi SG land! I hope everyone is doing ok in these weird times we are in.

It's been ages since I've done a proper blog, I think with not being able to shoot because of all that's going on I kinda felt like I didn't have much to talk about that's SG related.

As you've probably noticed, the majority of my times has been spent...

I'd like to share my new video with you where I talk about the way my brain works and my creative process. No sewing this time 😊

Victorian clothing for women seems to have been invented by engineers on a day off - cantilevered corsets and basques, bustles, and layers like insulation on a steamship. My favourite girlfriend used to go to college every day wearing Victorian and Edwardian clothes - including the gussetless precursors to knickers - this was the only concession to modernity she made: if going to college, a tiny pair of white cotton panties was worn, if going out on the piss with me, then she wore a little black g-string. And this was under everything else. I used to lace her up every morning, and then, in the evening, have the immense pleasure of letting everything out again. She always looked fantastic (this was the early 1980's, and I was a goth) but a quick feel? She might have been wearing armour. And she always had hatpins, too. πŸ€”πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Hi everyone 😊 The next part in my series on making a Giger's Alien inspired 1890s walking suit is up. In this video I'm making the walking skirt. I also fixed that shirtwaist and made a start on my hat 😁

Hope you enjoy!

@catdad Thanks 😁 I had the shirt sitting on my dressform and those pleats were just staring at me and annoying me πŸ˜‚

Hi everyone 😊

I had a go at making a Giger's Alien inspired 1890s shirtwaist for a big project I'm working on. I had a plan, everything was going well, but I forgot to double check that everything was lining up properly so it ended up being a bit of a fail. The main structure is there but I think I'm going to redo that...
