What kind of enhancements can you buy for your characters?

We’ve got the usual suspects – snazzy clothing items, from sexy shoes to skirts/tops/pants and the like, and beyond that, players can go crazy with hairstyles and colors (yes, a purple ‘fro is possible – dream big. Skin color and eye color are also customizable. And for the truly daring – breast and penis enhancements – or de-hancements, if size is not a priority.


Why did your team go with 2D rather than 3D modeling?

Great question – in the end, 3D turned us off because unless you nail the look and make it truly realistic, the end result looks creepy and lacks class. The 2D option allowed us to stylize the look and feel of the game, creating an air of fantasy and sex appeal that would have been unattainable had we attempted full-on realism. This is a world to escape into, after all – we’re thrilled with the results.


From what I know of the Safe Escape Studios team, you've all been working hard to make the game very female-friendly. Can you tell me a little about why you believe women will want to play this game?

I’m trying to break the mold of games developed by men for men and branch out to the other half of the population – so the intention here is definitely to appeal to the women of the world. First of all, Naughty America is unique in that all the other current sex-related titles involve sexual acts with a non-playing character – we’re 100% consensual, and as such, we believe the women will drive the level of “naughtiness” in the game, tailoring the experience to exactly what they want it to be. Furthermore, we took a proactive leap and partnered with a background verification company called Sentry – we’ll be verifying that subscribers are not registered sex offenders or violent criminals, but will have absolutely zero access to ANY other personal data, so that players can feel safe about the interactions they incur in the game. We’re creating a truly immersive world where players can take on fantasy personas and explore a brave new, sexy social setting – women are the key to the success of the game for sure.


So, about the sex... What can you do? Can you be gay? Can you get naked in the middle of the street and try to hump peoples' legs or anything like that?

You start out as a virgin, of course, with only a Missionary sex position in your bag of tricks. After a certain level of interaction with other players, you naturally learn additional positions and tricks, which you can use on newbies and seasoned players alike. Straight and gay sex is all welcome here – and while you can’t drop trou and do a leg hump in most public zones, there are public areas in each neighborhood where anything goes. Plus, everyone has a private residence (or two or three if they choose to upgrade) where the real naughtiness can go down any time – “Your place or mine?” just got all the more interesting.


Can you tell me a little about what makes this game different than a visual representation of a chatroom?

Of course all the fabulous and standard communication tools will be available, but there’s a whole lot more to this experience. There are loads of fabulous sex-related features, like the ability to record your dirty deeds (tape your scandalous acts – be the in-game Paris Hilton!) and voyeur mode (the chance to let players visiting the appropriately named Keyhole Club watch you and your partner, ahem, interact). For those that choose to break the third wall and reveal more about the man/woman behind the person, spicy profiles and photo albums + blogs will reveal as much as each player chooses. We’ll also feature special events, including contests and group events that will increase the social opportunities. Plus, there neighborhoods will have lots of mini-game offerings (casinos, arcades, and the like) and date-themed locales (skywalks, carriage rides) that give a context for a little online woo-session. And that’s just for starters.
