Chances are you've seen the Google Maps satellite feature, or downloaded the new Google Earth software that gives you even more control over the map (including 3D mapping in some areas).
Now take your knowledge of the weird and wonderful things you can find on Google Maps and play Scavengeroogle, an online "scavenger hunt" in which you have to hunt down the global location of peculiar images.
What is Scavengeroogle?
Scavengeroogle is a type of scavenger hunt using Google Maps. Given a picture clue, which is a small, usually interesting feature of a map, and some word clues you try to locate the feature using Googles map program.
How do I play?
Its a scavenger hunt. Simply take a look at the clues, launch Google Maps and try to locate the feature. Depending on the difficulty of the clue and your luck, it might take you hours to find it or you might find it right away. If you are one of the first persons to solve the clue, you can submit the solution to get your name and info next to the clue.
If you've found some weird places on Google Maps, you can submit them for potential use in the game.
Just what I need, another time waster...
