Finally A Moderate Muslim Speaks, Let's Kill Him
Tags: islam, united states, sharia, jihad
Jamal Miftah is a Muslim immigrant to the United States who was upset about his "peaceful religion" being used as an excuse to brutally and barbarously murder innocent people literally every day across the World.
Jamal thinks Islam is peaceful, and true Islam doesn't condone the sort of primitive butchery and savagery that people like Ayman al-Zawahri and Osama Bin Laden believe Islam is based around. So he wrote a letter to his local paper about how these violent extremists don't speak for the majority of Islam:
I am obliged to respond to Ayman al-Zawahri's recent video message, portraying himself as champion of Islam and others as liars.
My message to Ayman al-Zawahri and Muslims of the world: "Islam" means submission and is derived from a word meaning "peace." Islam, Christianity and Judaism have the same origin, the Prophet Abraham. The prophet of Islam has said that God has no mercy on someone who does not have mercy for others.
I ask that al-Zawahri look at his deeds and those of his master, Osama bin Laden, and other so-called Islamic jihadists.
Because of lack of knowledge of Islam, Muslim youth are misguided into believing by the so-called champions of the cause of Islam that the current spate of killings and barbarism, which has no equal in the recent civilized history, is jihad in the name of Islam. They are incited, in the name of Islam, to commit heinous crimes not pardonable by any religion and strictly forbidden in Islam.
Cowards like al-Zawahri and bin Laden are inciting the ignorant and innocent youths to commit suicide bombings to kill innocent civilians including children, women and the elderly, while they hide in spider holes and caves. They never send their own sons and daughters, born out of half a dozen of their wives, to get killed in the name of Islam.
Since it is only a tiny fraction of Muslims who support Osama Bin Laden and al-Zawahri, and most Muslims are looking for peaceful co-existence with their non-believer neighbors, Jamal has been celebrated as an eloquent spokesperson for true Islam by his local mosque and the Tusla Islamic community. Watch this video of him being celebrated by his communtiy:

A Look Inside British Mosques
On July 7, 2005, Muslims in the UK blew themselves up in a series of bombings across London mass transit systems during rush hour. The attack killed 52 London commuters and maimed hundreds of others. Like similar attacks in Israel, Chechnya, Bali, Thailand and Indian Kashmir, the attackers proclaimed in suicide messages that they were acting in the name of Allah.
The British were surprised to learn that the perpetrators of these bombings were UK native muslims, who had for the most part grown up and prayed at local mosques. Recently Channel 4's Dispatches investigated what was being taught at these Mosques, and this is their report:

A Somali Jihad Against Ethiopia?
Submitted by legionnaire
Edited by legionnaire
Somalia has been a mess for years. The country has been virtually without a functioning government for over a decade, with several pieces of it having split off in the past few years, declaring autonomy, the state of the country was uncertain until Islamist groups overran Mogadishu, the capital city earlier this year in what was regarded by many as the last gasp of its secular government. While the Islamist takeover has brought a measure of stability to the war-torn country, with functioning courts and decreasing food prices a welcome change to its beleagured citizens, Western governments have been cautious in offering their support. Recently the US has accused neighboring Eritrea of supplying the Islamist groups with weapons as a way to fight a proxy war against Ethiopia, which had been backing the previous government. Those concerns are likely to become more pronounced as Islamist groups in Mogadishu call for jihad against Ethiopia.
Thousands of young Muslim men have demonstrated in the Somali capital in support of a call for a holy war, known as a jihad, against Ethiopia.
The young men were urged to register their names for a jihad.
Demonstrations following Friday prayers were also held in other parts of the south under the control of the Union of Islamic Courts.
Islamic militias have moved towards Baidoa, where the interim government, backed by Ethiopia, is based.
Ethiopian troops are reported to be stationed in Baidoa in support of the government, although Ethiopia says they are there in a training capacity only.
Certainly the current situation in Somalia has made normalizing relations with them difficult for many Western powers. The fact that the US and much of Europe backed the loser in its internal power struggle hasn't exactly endeared them with the Union of Islamic Courts now claiming leadership in the country. The Union has, however, represented some return to the rule of law in a system that was dominated by a might-makes-right group of warlords who regularly used kidnapping and extortion to exert political power. But the cost of that return has been high, not long after assuming power the Union issues new , highly restrictive rules that essentially eliminated the prospect of any sort of free press from operating in Somalia, and their stated goal of imposing Sharia law is worrisome given the human rights violations that other governments have perpetrated under this system. A new move against Ethiopia could be a sign that things are only going to get worse.
