Arnold Schwarzenegger settled a libel case filed against him by a British TV host whom he allegedly groped on-camera. Anna Richardson spoke to the LA Times in 2003, during Schwarzeneggers heated race for governor, claiming Schwarzenegger groped her while filming an interview in December 2000. After the interview to The Times, Richardson claimed two of Schwarzeneggers advisors defamed her in public, saying Richardson was the one who did the groping, not Schwarzenegger.
"The parties are content to put this matter behind them and are pleased that this legal dispute has now been settled," read a terse statement issued jointly in London by lawyers representing both sides, adding that the resolution was to "all parties' satisfaction."
The Governators reps refused to comment about the settlement, but before the 2003 election, Schwarzenegger offered a blanket apology to all the woman he may or may not have groped in the past.
Without getting into specifics, he acknowledged that he "behaved badly sometimes" and acted in ways that "were not right, which I thought were playful, but now I recognize that I have offended some people."
Hes so sensitive and in touch with his feelings.
