Want to Vote Democrat in Nevada? Think Again

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 13 2004 11:33 AM

Submitted by attn_Hussein_ho. Edited By legionnaire.

Wow, I knew the Republicans were crazy and evil, but I didnt think they'd do anything illegal!

There is no low to which the GOP will not stoop. Now, they are shredding Dem voter registrations in Nevada.

Employees of a private voter registration company allege that hundreds, perhaps thousands of voters who may think they are registered will be rudely surprised on election day. The company claims hundreds of registration forms were thrown in the trash.

Anyone who has recently registered or re-registered to vote outside a mall or grocery store or even government building may be affected.

The I-Team has obtained information about an alleged widespread pattern of potential registration fraud aimed at democrats. Thee focus of the story is a private registration company called Voters Outreach of America, AKA America Votes.

The out-of-state firm has been in Las Vegas for the past few months, registering voters. It employed up to 300 part-time workers and collected hundreds of registrations per day, but former employees of the company say that Voters Outreach of America only wanted Republican registrations.

Two former workers say they personally witnessed company supervisors rip up and trash registration forms signed by Democrats.

"We caught her taking Democrats out of my pile, handed them to her assistant and he ripped them up right in front of us. I grabbed some of them out of the garbage and she tells her assisatnt to get those from me," said Eric Russell, former Voters Outreach employee.

Eric Russell managed to retrieve a pile of shredded paperwork including signed voter registration forms, all from Democrats. We took them to the Clark County Election Department and confirmed that they had not, in fact, been filed with the county as required by law.

The firm will be prosecuted, no doubt about that. But will it help Bush take Nevada?

Btw, this firm, Voters Outreach of America, is one of the firms hired to collect petition signatures for Ralph Nader in Arizona.

Nevada residents may want to double check their voter registration. The rest of America might want to too. And let's give it up for voter suppression!

Nice of you to make a generalized statement about Republicans due to the retarded actions of a few supervisors. Kudos to you.

If the leaders can't be trusted, what does that say about those who choose to follow?

How are there Republicans on this site? I'll never get that.

You realize their platform hates this site, right?

I guess the only conservatives who will admit they pay for porn are anonymous ones! Le sigh!

In Canada you don't even need to register to vote. You just show up with ID... which you'd think would increase the risk of fraud but apparently the opposite is the case.

Republicans, Catholics, Democrats, foot fetishists. I think you'll find people in any of those groups that can think for themselves and don't have to agree with every view held by the group to which they belong. While I do see a lot of regurgitation of cliched political views on this site, there are just as many people from all groups that can make up their own minds.

WOW few things piss me off more than being stereotyped into a big lump group of people! Of all websites to label a whole group of people, this supposed counter-culture site really disappoints me for crossing that line. Taking pot-shots at all Republicans with an immature statement like "Wow, I knew the Republicans were crazy and evil, but I didnt think they'd do anything illegal!" is just incredibly narrow-minded. I happen to be extremely open-minded and suffering from no known brain defects, and yet I'm a republican. I don't believe it's politically correct under anyone's political party to to discriminate or judge anyone else merely on their political party. The fact that these retards in Nevada committed a crime and the fact that they're republicans is an unfortunate coincidence that logically cannot be transferred over to all other republicans. So you hate republicans; give it a rest already. You get your chance to make a point on voting day (assuming of course no retards have illegally trashed your reg form haha). I happen to have friends that are republican, friends that are democrats, and even friends that go libertarian. Whoopty-doo, so we have some different views on life. Welcome to modern society

I don't think the head of the Republican party authorized this, it was just some assholes who happened to be Republican. It's just like vandalization of yard signs, except these people actually had the means to do some damage.
