At least he wasn't putting partners in government jobs. I do wish that Republicans had a more mature response to matters of sex. That way gay politicians could come out of the closet and address real issues instead of wasting time and energy concealing their sexuality.

Oh by the way, the Governor McGreevey of New Jersey was a hypocritical Democrat.

i'm going out on a limb here, but my guess would be that Shrock is hypocritical because he's anti-gay rights. the christian coalition isn't well known for backing canidates with progressive views towards gay marriage, generally. so it would be somewhat hyprocitical to have homosexual activites and be anti gay rights, yes?

and as for mcgreevy, he wasn't hypocritical, just a thug and a hack. now his "partner" who was blackmailing him is back in Irasreil with a grudge and all the information New Jersey's homeland security dept. gave him about any weaknesses and defense problems. not hypocritical at all, just plain fucking stupid.

Alright, after looking around I see he voted "yes" on the marriage protection act. That doesn't necessarily mean he is "anti-gay"
Like you said, he is Christian and may see marriage as a religious ceremony. Marriage by definition is a man and woman bound together. Maybe by voting against it he was being anything but hypocritical by staying true to his faith.
It is too bad that his career is essentially destroyed because of his sexual preference.

for my dollar its a whole lot worse that a politican would vote against the civil rights of a group of people he is a part of just to keep his career moving upwards.
