It's A Whole New World!

It's a whole new world –– I'd say "thank God" if I believed in him –– but instead I'll thank a higher power: those who braved the long lines and voted!

Thank you! (I'm sure the rest of the world thanks you too!)

It's a great night for democracy, an even better night for Obama, and an overwhelming referendum for reason.

And a message for Republicans: You can't fight change, you have to embrace it.

Think of it this way; You didn't lose the battle -- you dodged a bullet -- a McCain/Palin presidency would have been the worst thing for your party long term (I think many Republicans, like Colin Powell, even came to that conclusion) . Thank whoever it didn't happen, and let's work together to restore our American dream.

Prayer for those who don't believe in the non-existent god:

Our king, who is Obama, all misery be his name
His kingdom come, our will be broken
In Washington as it is in Mecca
Give us this day our daily rations
And forgive us our white guilt
As we forgive those who oppress us
And lead us not into self sufficiency
But deliver us into the hands of evil
For his is the kingdom, the power and our damnation forever and ever

Anyone have a problem with the Huffington Post saying:

Update: It's Official, CNN, MSNBC and FOX News have now declared Barack Obama the next President of the United States.

I mean, I know it happened in 2000 and 2004, but TV stations aren't supposed to be kingmakers.

I am so sick of hearing the following Star Wars quote: "So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause."

It has been bandied about in so many places in the last hour. But I am so glad Obama won.

Yep. And the Democrats are going to bring the magic they brought to Michigan to the entire country.

Can't wait

OK, on to the important stuff; What should we call the new White House puppy Barack promised us in his acceptance speech?
