The cops beating the perps in the Philly case wasn't Fuckacery. These sociopathic, murdering bitches had just committed a drive by shooting, they deserved to be shot on fucking sight. When cops beat a person for a traffic violation, that's Fuckacery. When cops take bribes, do that racial profiling shit, or any number of hate filled acts that's Fuckacery.
Since big brother cameras cover damn near every inch of South Philly it's hard to get away with shit. So, the cops get covered putting out a well-deserved Ass Whuppin' and that's too bad. I'd give the cops a pass on this one.

How can we assess anything about these soldiers after watching a couple of minutes of video? We have no idea of what happened before the camera went on or after it went off.

Maybe people are reacting harshly in order to feel better about their own stance on animal cruelty. Or maybe they're forced to adjust to yet another image fucking with the concept of "Good Guys vs. Bad Guys" where the Good Guys care for every living (non-evil) thing, under any circumstance, and the Bad Guys are the ones that revel in the torture and murder of the innocent.

I assure all of you who are worried about the K-9 population of Iraq that there is an over abundance of stray dogs in this country. If little Johnny lost his only pal in a war torn city I guarantee he found another Rover that same day laying on the side of the road, basking in the shade, waiting to be found and loved. Wait, Iraqis treat the dogs here worse than we do, in fact, there is such an over abundance of stray dogs in this country that every patrol base, FOB, COB, COS and BP has at least two adopted dogs that are well fed and loved because the locals treat em like garbage and the IA shoot em. The place I'm holed up in has 4 dogs that are very much cared for and taken care with talks of trying to bring the dog back that belongs to my company. I would even go out on a limb and guess that there was only one soldier doing the real laughing and the rest were probably his stool pigeons just playing along. Yes, there is peer pressure in the Army. Get over the damn dog.

Well, now that you put it that way, I guess laughing at exploding dogs is perfectly normal. How could I have thought otherwise? Cause, you know, that was the entire point of the article, the death of a dog, not the soldiers reaction to it or anything. Or the fact that they filmed it. Or the fact that they took the time to upload it to YouTube 'cause it was so fricking hilarious! I'll sleep much better knowing these fine human beings are protecting my freedom and representing my country to the rest of the world.

i'm perfectly okay with nobody making any knee-jerk reactions at all. to be clear, i think it's entirely possible that these soldiers are, indeed, straight-up asshole fuckfaces who would laugh at a dog being blown up--and maybe blow it up themselves--whether they were in a war zone or not. i, personally, am not leaping to any particular conclusion regarding these particular soldiers, and i'm asking others to do the same.

on the whole, though, while knee-jerk reaction #2 may or may not be more accurate, it is less damaging, in my opinion. #1 results in the derision of soldiers, which is not--in this case--helpful to anyone. #2 can result in enhanced and extended therapy programs for these and other soldiers.
