Speaking of which, do you really think the Libertarian / Ron Paul concept that by removing most if not all federal restrictions on businesses (including corporations) and allowing the "free market" to handle issues like pollution and workplace safety will somehow un-entrench these evil corporations?

Oh, and the reasons for the numerous Ron Paul articles?

1) He's chock to the brim with batshit insane ideas that would both cripple the U.S. economy and radically restrict the civil rights of a whole bunch of people by expanding the power of state governments.

2) A sizable chunk of Paul supporters ignore the living shit out of those ideas, simply because Ron Paul wants to stop the war, man. You know, like Patrick Buchanan!

3) Those same supporters lionize Ron Paul as Jesus' More Morally Correct Older Brother and come up with hilarious ways of supporting him, like making Ron Paul dollars, renting a Ron Paul blimp, or creating an all-gnome Ron Paulista World Of Warcraft guild, or spamming online polls and then using them as "proof" that Ron Paul has some massive support out there that the mainstream media is ignoring. Yeah, the same mainstream media that's given Ron Paul a huge amount of coverage compared to other candidates with a comparable amount of support in polls of actual human beings, not spambots.

4) Those supporters have no fucking sense of humor, or proportion, and react to any mockery of St. Pauli Girl with a shrieking tantrum, which is fucking hilarious.

A nominal perusal of current polls suggests "no". The last time I checked, of course, Paul wasn't running on the Democratic ticket, so bringing Democratic candidates up out of context to the original topic is anecdotal at best.

I wonder how many times I can say "If you don't like what you're reading here, then submit your own articles and overwhelm the opposition through your own ability to create something that the readership here will want to read" before someone who hates what he reads here but somehow lacks the capability to not read it will do so?

A candidate that does not "believe" in scientific thought is not worth voting for. Clearly by refuting evolution, Mr. Paul is telling those that would back him that he does not believe that America need to be a country that takes science seriously. From a capitalistic viewpoint a country that is not focused on innovation led by scientific research is one that will lose to those that will keep innovating (like China). Is that the kind of President that a capitalistic USA needs?

As far as some of you complaining in here that liberals are bashing poor Mr. Paul only, you have not been paying much attention.

I believe that this crop of candidates on either side of the aisle are the worst group ever. For my taste none of them are progressive enough. Kucinich comes the closest, but I have a lot of issues with him as well.

It cracks me up that when people hear the word "evolution" they think it HAS to be the theory of how life was created. No one knows that, and to pick a stance on it is stupid. You just can't tell. There's no way, and almost no evidence.

What I'm quite sure what he's talking about is the evolution of the human race is somewhat more recent times. i.e. Why do we have useless parts of our body?
