For readers in New York, here's a kick-ass event going on this evening.

For those of us in the rest of the world, this might be better of in Local Events NY than on the newswire.

Not necessarily. I, for one, am glad to see somebody getting to work on this somewhere.

This needs to happen. And it needs to keep on happening.

Four of the current Supreme Court justices appear to be ready to overturn Roe v. Wade. One more will do it, for the Neanderthals who want to tell women what they can do with their bodies. If any of the Republican candidates besides Rudy wins in 2008, getting the fifth vote seems far too likely.

Alternatively, you could NOT click on a link titled "New York Event for Reproductive Rights" if you weren't interested in reading about it.

On the note of telling people what they can and can't do with their bodies, I think we should legalize all drugs and do away with prescriptions.

I mean, if I want to screw around with heroin or meth then who has the right to tell me that I can't?

What about things like rape, murder, child pornography, etc...? That should probably be legal too, seeing as it has some effect on another being and I'll be damned if someone tells me that I can't do any of that either.

I clicked on the link thinking it was a news article about the event. But it's just an advertisement for the event.

Maybe after it happens, there will be news coverage about it available on the front page. I hope so.

That's all well and good. Maybe I'm being dense, but that doesn't tell me where you stand on the question of abortion itself.

I was doing my best not to take a side. As with anything, I think there is a lineand this is one debate where I do my best to stay on the line.
