Londonistan Calling

All our lovely English SuicideGirls will soon be posing in beekeeper outfits if 74% of England's muslim youth had their way.

The poll of 1,000 Muslims, weighted to represent the population across the UK, found that a growing minority of youngsters felt they had less in common with non-Muslims than their parents did.

While only 17 per cent of over-55s said they would prefer to live under Sharia law, that increased to 37 per cent of those aged 16 to 24.

Sharia law, which is practised in large parts of the Middle East, specifies stonings and amputations as routine punishments for crimes.

It also acts as a religious code for living, covering dietary laws and dress codes. Religious police are responsible for bringing suspects before special courts.

The poll found that just 19 per cent of Muslims over 55 would prefer to send their children to Islamic state schools. That increased to 37 per cent of those aged 16 to 24.

If a Muslim converts to another religion, 36 per cent of 16-to-24-year-olds thought this should be punished by death, compared with 19 per cent of 55s and over.

According to the poll, 74 per cent of those aged 16 to 24 prefer Muslim women to wear the veil, compared with only 28 per cent of over 55s.

The report by Miss Mirza, British-born daughter of Pakistani immigrants, concludes that some Muslim groups have exaggerated the problems of "Islamophobic" sentiment among non-Muslim Britons, which has fuelled a sense of victimhood.

The vast majority of Muslims – 84 per cent – believed they had been treated fairly in British society.

Also of note, 37% of Muslim youth believe England should be governed by Sharia, which calls for the execution of homosexuals and adulterers:

International controversy came about when two gay teenagers were publicly executed (following lashings in prison) in Iran, 19 July 2005, for homosexual relations. The youths were hanged in Edalat Square in the city of Mashhad, in north east Iran. The youths were believed to have been 16 years old at the time they had had relations. Under the Iranian penal code, girls as young as nine and boys as young as 15 can be hanged. Three other boys have gone into hiding due to the incident. Gay men have been publically executed in Saudi Arabia, where beheading is the primary method, and in Taliban Afghanistan, where men were crushed with large boulders. It's debated how many gay men have been executed in Saudi Arabia, with some estimates placing the number of executions in the thousands in the last 15 years, while other estimates are much smaller.

White people, black people, brown people, yellow people, get rid of 'em all.

All we need is a voluntary, free spirited, open-ended program of procreative racial deconstruction.

Everybody just gotta keep fuckin' everybody 'til they're all the same color.

I swear I will never understand what is wrong with people . " I want to be enslaved " ! " I want all others who don't think like I do to be put to death " ! Are they afraid to have freedom of thought , to be able to think for themselves ? It saddens me & sickens me .

Very sad story, but not shocking to those who keep up on these sorts of things.

Two things come to mind.

1,000 Muslims, weighted to represent the population across the UK

Well there is weighting and weighting and exactly how was this poll weighted? Exactly what is the representation? How was it decided? By ethnic origin? By socio-economic status? By sect? By geographic location? Inside the weighting how were respondants chosen? The old saw of lies, damn lies and statistics comes to mind as it always does with narrow polling making sweeping claims. I also note the following in the article

the poll, commissioned by the Right-wing think tank Policy Exchange

Now nasty suspicious me suspects that a rightwing think tank probably got exactly the results that they wanted.

concludes that some Muslim groups have exaggerated the problems of "Islamophobic" sentiment among non-Muslim Britons, which has fuelled a sense of victimhood.

This is one thing I'd agree with. Too much of the Islamic world has a chip on its shoulder that they really need to move past. The "poor me" attitude and ethno-religous chauvanism leads directly in radicalism, not helped by the passivity muslim faith can unfortunately evoke.

It's really hard to generalize about Sharia law, because it differs from place to place. It can range from extreme (as presented here) to pretty normal and fair in terms of legal standards.

For more on the subject, try reading the brilliant book
by Melanie Philipps called: "Londonistan".

Also, Mark Steyn wrote a similar book on the same subject called
"America Alone - The end of the world as we know it".

oh well.
i say those people should move to places where islam is the law.
if they want to live like that, then don't expect the place you move to to change for you.
and they probably know this.
just thought i'd throw it out there though.

Immigrants don't assimilate like they used to.

Mexicans/Other Hispanic immigrants in the US, and Muslim immigrants all across Europe prefer to cluster together instead of assimilation.

The question on my mind is the segregation the cause of the distrust and cultural gaps, or is the segregation the result?

It's my (mostly uninformed) understanding that 1,000 is a pretty good sample. Especially for a population of about 1.6 million.

I'd say, yes.
