Wal-Mart Pimp Slaps John Edwards

John Edwards was on a United Food and Commercial Workers union sponsored phone call last night and he thought it would be a good time to talk some smack about Wal-Mart. The wanna be president apparently talked about how his son gave shit to a fellow student who bought shoes a Wal-Mart. Ha ha, good one. Wal-Mart was not so happy.

First Wal-Mart welcomed Edwards to come on down one of their stores and peruse the shoe section. I guess Wal-Mart makes some kick-ass, sensible shoes. Then Wal-Mart dropped the hammer.

Turns out, the night before Edwards was trying to get his hands on a Sony PlayStation 3. According to Wal-Mart, a staff person for Edwards contacted a North Carolina Wal-Mart attempting to get a hold of a PlayStation 3 for the Edwards family. The PlayStation 3 is about to go on sale and is incredibly inferior to the X-Box 360 because of a game called Halo. But still, people are lining up all over the country in anticipation of the new console.

The PlayStation3 is an extremely popular item this Christmas season, and while the rest of America's working families are waiting patiently in line, Senator Edwards wants to cut to the front. While, we cannot guarantee that Sen. Edwards will be among one of the first to obtain a PlayStation3, we are certain Sen. Edwards will be able to find great gifts for everyone on his Christmas list - many at Wal-Mart's "roll-back prices.”

Ohhhh, this shit is getting ugly. Take those fuckers down Edwards!

WalMart sucks. Buys from chinese sweatshops, rents its employees and locks 'em in at night so they don't escape...

But Edwards is an airhead. How does an accomplished trial lawyer get bitchslapped by evil Dick Cheney in a televised debate with 4 years of material to whip out in a matlock/law and order/columbo fashion??

The best he could come up with was pointing out that Cheney's daughter was gay. whatever

That sure demonstrates a bit of hypocracy for the administration that panders to homophobes on a daily basis, but if that's really the best you can come up with...your "if the glove don't fit, you must acquit" line against Dr. Evil...who stands for everything normal humans should fight to their last breaths...you suck big-time and need to go back to school or read a newspaper or something.

Winning takes more than nice hair and a bright white smile, Johnny...

And oh yeah...he quit his senate seat after ONE TERM and ceded it to a Republican.

So having a staffer that doesn't know not to call WalMart and drop the Senators' name isn't the dumbest thing he's done.

I truly hope the Dems don't decide that folksy Ken doll is their best hope in 2008. frown

PS- Spokesman David Tovar says "Americans know Wal-Mart creates jobs"...

uh, yeah Dave...WalMart creates LOADS of jobs...each employee usually takes two just so they can make ends meet. 18 hour workdays! What a sweet deal for them!

Well if Edwards ends up on the Democratic ticket to the White House and wins, you can bet that Wal-Mart will be kissing his feet then. wink

Senators have to get their PS3s by begging Wal-Mart? There's clearly no hope for any of the rest of us.

Wal-Mart does suck. They are so large that what they do affects our entire economy. Usually in a negative way. And they're gettin' dirty this holiday season. So, hey, enjoy. Fa la la la la, la la, la laaaaa

Yeah, I've seen that (or maybe it was a different one) but really, my girlfriend and I do shop there....we have this thing called a "budget" and it works for us. I'd like to say I'm all about helping out local businesses but holy fuck.... paying two dollars more for a rotisserie-cooked chicken? Nuh uh.

Sorry, small businesses....I have bills to pay too. Besides, shopping at Wal*Mart gives you something to laugh at....the employees. smile

My vote is for because the people who would be offended by something like that deserve it.
