Not sure if this has been reported yet. Donald Rumsfeld will be stepping down today. He will be replaced by former CIA director and current President of Texas A&M, Robert Gates.

The Republicans want a recount in Virginia. They are running around using phrases like "we need to make sure every vote is counted." Fucking classic irony. They will clearly try to drag this out for as long as possible. It will be interesting to see if they try to get something into the courts so they can use Bush's stooges on the Supreme Court to give them another election.

Lets see if they actually do something now that they're elected instead of being afraid to do what's needed. I'm sick of politicians just trying to not piss anyone off so they'll be elected.

If VA goes red, it'll be 50-50, so Vice President "Satan" Cheney will be the tiebreaker.
