Republicans Are Complete Losers: Dems Take Senate

It’s all over. The AP just called Montana for Democrat Jon Tester. It is officially the worst night in Republican history. But they should stick with the Iraq war and the whole “religious” thing.

Democrats erased the Republican Senate majority Wednesday with a cliffhanger victory in Montana, hours after taking control of the House in an election that delivered a rebuke of GOP scandal, the Iraq war and the course of a nation.

Feel free to gloat, you deserve it.

GOOD! but it is just a small step for now - most people are a little too scarred by the past several years in politics to gloat just yet.

maybe people aren't gloating much because the best you can say about most democrats is "at least they aren't republicans."

Not sure if this has been reported yet. Donald Rumsfeld will be stepping down today. He will be replaced by former CIA director and current President of Texas A&M, Robert Gates.

The Republicans want a recount in Virginia. They are running around using phrases like "we need to make sure every vote is counted." Fucking classic irony. They will clearly try to drag this out for as long as possible. It will be interesting to see if they try to get something into the courts so they can use Bush's stooges on the Supreme Court to give them another election.

Lets see if they actually do something now that they're elected instead of being afraid to do what's needed. I'm sick of politicians just trying to not piss anyone off so they'll be elected.

Impeach Bush, then take out Cheney, Pelozi becomes the first female president of the united states, and Rumsfeld Cheney and George can take their seats in an international war crimes tribunal.

No, indeed. He's whining like a spoiled brat. My only regret is that it took this long for mainstream America to see him for what he is.

Wait, have they called Virginia yet? I know the Dem was winning, but it was well-within the recount margin.

If VA goes red, it'll be 50-50, so Vice President "Satan" Cheney will be the tiebreaker.
