Why are Iranian Fascists Such Fucking Assholes?

Two Iranian gay teens have been executed by hanging after a Sharia court convicted them to the death sentence. The two boys one 18 years old, the other underaged confessed to having had gay sex with each other, unaware that this was punishable by death under Sharia law.

"According to Iranian human rights campaigners, over 4,000 lesbians and gay men have been executed since the Ayatollahs seized power in 1979. "Altogether, an estimated 100,000 Iranians have been put to death over the last 26 years of clerical rule. The victims include women who have sex outside of marriage and political opponents of the Islamist government.

"Last August, a 16 year old girl, Atefeh Rajabi, was hanged for 'acts incompatible with chasity.'"

The boys were sentenced for the sexual assault of a third thirteen year old boy, but some sources question the validity of the charges.

While the teens admitted to having sex with each other, the London-based gay human rights group OutRage! believes the admissions were coerced under torture.

OutRage! also doubts that the 13-year-old was raped, noting that the crime was not mentioned by some key news agencies. The organization believes the alleged rape to be either a trumped-up charge or, it suggests, the 13-year-old was a willing participant.

Are we so busy worrying about rogue terrorists and extremists that they don't even notice that Sharia courts are systematically enforcing a most atrocious system of laws on a daily basis.

I think the "why are such-and-such such fucking assholes?" has been stabbed in the heart- it's one thing to talk about sharks, and quite another to talk about putting Iranian teens to death because they're gay. It's not funny anymore because of stories like this, okay?

Not even slightly. I have a hard time thinking of any title for articles like this - they bother me a great deal.

In the event that someone does decide to charge around the world overthrowing evil governments, these guys should be high on the list.

I feel like I'm caught between the bear and the boar - there is no good choice here.
