This pisses me off. I'm in London and i just found out about the pixies tour. First of all they cost £30, which i'd guess is about 50 or 60 dollars per ticket. Secondly they play a reasonably sized venue called the brixton academy with 4 dates.... and they've sold out. i'ld be lucky to get a ticket for less than £100. just pissed and disappoined *moan* *moan*

It's probably been mentioned, but they have a few pre-Coachella dates:

April 14 Winnipeg, MB @ Burton Cummings Theatre
April 15 Regina, SK @ Doris Knight Ballroom
April 17 Saskatoon, SK @ Prairieland
April 18 Edmonton, AB @ Red's
April 19 Calgary, AB @ MacEwan Hall
April 21 Victoria, BC @ Victoria Curling Club
April 22 & 23 Vancouver, BC @ Commodore Ballroom

I might have to try and make that Vancouver show!

Another once-awesome band that is getting back together because they know they can make tons of money of off nostalgia. Tired of that shit.

there are two vancouver shows, and from what i understand, they were sold out within minutes of going on sale. i believe the victoria gig is sold out too. if you're going to try to come up and get tickets on a show night, be prepared to spend some serious $$$.

and no, you cannot have my ticket. biggrin

I don't really think making money off nostalgia is their motivation, but who knows.
Not to mention, i don't care so long as they shake their asses over to NEW YORK and the rest of the east coast. They're one of my favorite bands and i didnt have the chance to see them before they broke up. So i'm fucking psyched about it.
