The long wait is finally over -- even if you have nothing but chortles and disdain for the Trapped in the Closet series by R. Kelly, even if you can't help but laugh out loud when you hear him say things like "you don't realize it's rhyming because you're so into the story" (paraphrased) -- the conclusion of Kelly's tacky, hip-hopera has arrived.

According to MTV News, the final chapters of Trapped in the Closet are set to come out on DVD in July of this year.

This is certainly good news for improv and comedy troupes across the world, many of which have already found success by mocking the original 12 chapters of Trapped in the Closet, such as Weird Al with his song parody "Trapped at the Drive-Thru."

Just last evening I saw a theater group acting out the first twelve chapters -- the props alone were worth it. It was truly Shakespearean in that all of the actors were men -- except for Rosie, the nosy neighbor.

Oh, R. Kelly. You really do know how to entertain. Check out a scene from Chapter 11 on the first Closet DVD in which we discover who really fathered Bridget's baby. That's right, you guessed it...a midget.
