SGs Take Over Marilyn Manson's New Video!

So, what’s it like on the set of Marylin Manson’s new video/mini-movie for Heart-Shaped Glasses? Sunday night Lauren, Vanessa and I set out to find out.

At the invitation of Mr. Manson, we journeyed to Los Angeles and braved a fourteen-hour epic battle with dust, cold, the absence of power outlets, and a nonexistent wardrobe department. When the going got tough, we sent up the SG beacon and called for reinforcements. With the help of Luque, Lovette, Manda, Vanity, and Desdemonia, we not only survived, we had one Hell of a grand time. Vanessa’s take? “Next to the Dwarves video, this is a cakewalk!”

The video is for Marylin Manson’s new song, which I’m calling “Heart-Shaped Glasses”, even though I don’t think that’s the actual title. You know how Manson is. The title is never as simple as the refrain. The shoreline calls for Manson’s new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood, to drift pristinely through a surreal concert scene filled with writhing, overtly sexual, scantily clad, and sometimes even demonic women. So, of course, he called SG.

There are other kinds of girls in the video. You will know them by their spray tans, and more importantly, their clothing. There was a shirts-optional policy on set as the main cut of the video will be released on DVD. But since it seemed like the SG’s were the only ones willing to rise to the challenge, we should be easy to spot in the crowd. Besides, Manson was sweet enough to put us all up front-and-center for the show. Okay, that might have been because we were topless. Nonetheless, there should be plenty of SG-on-SG action in the final cut. I know there are shots of me and Lovette making out!

I’m making a lot of jokes about how tough it was. It WAS a fourteen-hour shoot, running from four pm until six in the morning. And the dressing room really was a tent with a dirt floor (I didn’t even know they had dirt in LA). But Manson was a great host and kept us all entertained. He was actually having to work very hard to keep a straight face when the cameras were rolling: “It’s hard not to smile with all these boobs everywhere!” My favorite moment: having Marylin Manson ask me what my chest piece said because he “didn’t want to stare.”

So, what about the incredibly gorgeous Evan Rachel Wood? She was just sad she couldn’t join in. The poor girl had to stand there and look serene while Vanessa tried to seduce her! Her self-control was incredible, but in between takes she was definitely sneaking a grope in here and there.

Actually, Manson put us all up in the front because of a discussion Lauren, Evan, Manson and myself had in the dressing room.

Being this video was originally supposed to be entirely populated with Suicide Girls (but the record label didn't allow enough time to get it set up), Manson and I were trying to figure out how to get us up in the front of the crowd. Another casting agency had been called in to bring the extras and he wasn't happy with a lot of the other extra girls...REALLY not happy.
But initially (because despite popular belief, Manson is very polite), he didn't really want to piss all the other extras off...

Although that came later when we got large amounts of polarid photos thrown at us at warp speed from cannons...

Anyway, being I'm not from LA and had limited clothing options with me, and the fact that the wardrobe people COMPLETELY misguided all the extras on what to bring, I didn't have the right clothing for the video. So I half jokingly said I'd do it naked because I had nothing to change into.
Manson, being my friend for many years, knew if he asked me to do just that, that I would say yes. He then gave me a thoughtful look and asked "...you think the other girls would do it too?"
After a laugh and a sentence that I'm pretty sure contained the word "duh" somewhere, the other girls were asked.
He came back into the room and as Evan and Lauren and I were playing with some deformed squishy rubber heart thing that was sitting on the table, he informed us the rest of the SG's were VERY happy to do so and because of that, he would have no problem pissing everyone off by putting us in the front.

No she's 20. Trust me.
And who cares if he dates teenagers anyway?
He's been a dear friend of mine since I was 20. We never dated (because he's like my older brother and that would be wierd) but even so, I don't see what the big deal is.
That girl is a lot more mature and intelligent than a lot of people who are in their 30's.

Can we not turn this into another "zOMG he's dating someone 18 years younger than him and OMG she's kinda blonde and nothing like Dita" thread?
