Police reunion rumors are starting to seem less wishful thinking and more imminent. Billboard is reporting that rehearsals have already begun.
The Police will rehearse for their upcoming reunion tour at Lions Gate Studios in Vancouver, according to reports today (Jan. 25) by the city's classic rock radio station, CFMI.
In addition, the Police are strongly rumored to be performing as part of the opening segment of the Grammy telecast on Feb. 11 from Los Angeles' Staples Center.
You know the difference between strongly rumored and just rumored right?
Me neither. I'm guessing it means it's basically gonna happen, but we're not going say anything official so we can pretend you were gonna tune into the Grammies anyway, andÂ…look a surprise! Oh my God! The Police!
I'm willing to bet they play "Roxanne" to open the awards and mark the 30th anniversary of the song.
This is great news. I'm excited. But isn't it coming up pretty close on the heals of Sting's "rock bores me" complaints in the media last fall?
I'm bored with music between 1955 and 1980. I'm completely bored. I can't listen to a rock and roll record. I can't do it. I would rather listen to hogs screwing.
