Bands, please don't all reunite at once. Too many reunions make them all seem so less than special. I know that when you see people get all excited about the Pixies reunion you think, "Man, that looks like fun!" The only problem is every other semi-retired band thinks so too.
Soon bands will break up only to reunite soon after, just because it looks like the cool thing to do.
Sure to be eclipsed in the news by the recent reunions of larger acts, James is the latest to jump on the crowded reunion band wagon. Singer Tim Booth, who left the band in 2001, announced his decision to rejoin the band and head out for a set of shows.
James are back. Still fresh as a daisy. Ready to be the bride not the bridesmaid. With a back catalogue to die for and a bunch of new songs the 'laid' six will be playing live for the first time in 6 years!
The line-up appears to be the band as it was during the 1993 album Laid, which includes Tim on vocals, Jim Glennie on bass, Larry Gott on guitar, Saul Davies also on guitar, Mark Hunter on keys, and Dave Power as the drummer. Tickets for the spring tour of the UK go on sale this Friday, January 26 at 9am GMT, click the link.

When was the last time you heard this?
The question now is whether the supporting act The Twang will have the same luck that James' 90s supporting acts went on to have. James has a history of supporting acts going on to larger fame such as Nirvana, Coldplay, and Radiohead. And in the 80s it wasn't much different with the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondayswhom James later had to support. Ouch.
Are you actually complaining about too many bands reuniting? Thanks to this whole reunion trend, I've gotten to see bands I never expected to see live in my lifetime. Like the New York Fucking Dolls!!! Less than spectacular my ass.
I listen to James "Laid" weekly, just as I have since I was 14 or 15 years old. Well, that's not quite true. I listened to it daily back then, every night while going to sleep. Laugh now if you want to, but it's the truth. Whenever anyone asks, "What one CD would you take on a desert island?" I never hesitate to tell them about this album. The song "Out to Get You" was absolutely my adolescent theme song. K, I'm finished now.
