Coldplay Buy Massive Studio Complex

Even though X&Y sucked, I know there are still some closet Coldplay fans still out there. You don't have to say, feel free to insult them and show us how "you're not that guy." It's ok, we believe you, you really don't have any idea how Parachutes got on your iPod.

To really put rumors swirling that the band we're pondering a 5 year hiatus while they raised their children to rest, the ridiculously wealthy and lovey dovey band have put a portion of their savings towards a studio complex in Hampstead to cut down on commuting time.

The massive building will house a studio, their staff, and equipment, so that the band can continue to pump out heart wrenching, tinged with hope, piano ballads and still be home in time for supper.

Drummer Will Champion spoke to the NME about the purchase.

We're trying to find somewhere we can set up and work from. In all of these years working together we haven't had an HQ, our own studio or anything like that. We want somewhere where we can hole up and see what happens.

The building is unfinished, and likely the follow up to X&Y won't begin until the studio is up and running. In the meantime, Guy Berryman, the band's bassist, hinted that the next album might have a pinch of the electronic in it.

"I don't want to generalize it and say 'We're going to become electronic' because I don't think we're going to become truly electronic," said Coldplay's bassist. "I think there's going to be elements of lots of things. I always like our next record to be a bit harder sounding. Not rock harder -- just edgier."

Parachutes was one of the purest, most beautiful début albums in living memory, and will remain on my pod as long as it blood still runs through its stylized circuits.

I fucken hated X&Y.

I am not normally inclined to point these things out but people often have their posts brutally criticised for inaccuracies. This article has misspellings and whole sentences that don't make any sense. All I am suggesting is that the article would do a better job of conveying Colin's ideas if someone had just given it a quick read to check it was not riddled with errors.
