Not unlike being green, it's not easy being "emo". I suppose that's the whole point. Just ask My Chemical Romance, who seem to excel at rubbing UK'ers the wrong way. I'm sure everyone remembers them getting bottled at Reading this year. Now they're on Brit band Kasabian's shitlist.
According to The Sun, Kasabian singer Tom Meghan thinks the Chemicals' devotion to teen angst is simply a downer.
Its all about inflicting self-harm on children. These kids believe they are being rebellious. But they are all just moaning at each other. Its like ventriloquists music. Its weird and dark. They dont have anything positive to say. The only good news is that it wont last. These clowns wont be around for much longer. Their make-up will flake off and the scene will die out. And it cant happen soon enough.
Keep in mind that all this venting follows Kasabian learning that My Chemical Romance is headed for the #1 spot on the British singles charts. I suppose one is never too old for sour grapes. Tom should get together with Brandon Flowers, as I'm sure he could use a little cheese to go with that whine.

As You Can See, Kasabian Are A Happy-Go-Lucky Bunch
