Bright Eyes New Compilation Drops in the Fall.

For those of you busy waiting for Spring 2007 and with it Bright Eyes' non-partisan return, good news. Bright Eyes will be releasing a compilation this Fall of previously unreleased music from the mind of Conor Oberst. I love his mind. It's so hot.

The Compilation is set to include rare tracks, singles, random takes, collaborations, and covers. Basically anything that happened between 1998 and 2005 that Saddle Creek felt they could stick a price tag on.

The title is Noise Floor, which you know is incredibly accurate if you've ever heard some of Bright Eyes' early bootleg material. Hopefully, it's been cleaned up a little. Saddle Creek has organized a October 24th release date in the States, and an October 10th release for the guys with sexy British accents. First, TV on the Radio, now this.

The release will be on CD and vinyl media, with 5 song bonus for LP lovers. Here is the Noisefloor tracklisting as reported to Pitchfork

His voice... is it more a warble or a whine? A whible? Either way, after listening to a lot of his work and giving it an honest, open-minded chance, I can only say that it's not for me. Like a lot of his music, "Drunk Kid Catholic" has some nice hooks and is fairly catchy and creative, there's something about his voice that sets my teeth on edge...

Okay, flame on.
