There definitely seems to be something fishy afoot concerning Jay-Z's return. But I'm done speculating.
For anyone who didn't get tickets to Jay-Z's "ONE MAN. ONE NIGHT. ONE SHOW," Jay-Z's one night performance of Reasonable Doubt to celebrate its 10th anniversary, get ready to click refresh for a furious minute. The billing is changing to "ONE MAN. TWO NIGHTS. ONE ALBUM."
This morning Roc-a-Fella announced Jay-Z would be having a rehearsal for the Radio City Music hall event, inviting friends and family, and some lucky fans who can actually score tickets to this thing. The rehearsal will be held at the Nokia Theater in Times Square. 8:30pm on Saturday, June 24th, 2006. Tickets go onsale today, Friday, June 23rd, 2006, at 5:00pm (I'm assumming that's EST) through Ticketmaster. No direct links exist yet.
Good luck.
For those wondering how will Jay-Z pull off his anti-Cristal Champagne campaign, what with regular shout-outs to the beverage in Reasonable Doubt including "Can't Knock the Hustle," "Dead Presidents," "Brooklyn's Finest" and "Feelin' It," keep wondering. Because apparently, he's working on some new vocabulary for the show. According to SOHH.com, Hov's spokesman, Ron Berkowitz, had this to say regarding the recent complication:
"You can bet that Cristal will not be in Jay's lyrics on Sunday. What will replace it, only he knows at the time, because he rhymes on the fly - so don't be surprised to hear something different."
There you have it.
