Muse has also added a MySpace page, so now you can have electronic documentation confirming your intimate friendship with them. While there, you can learn the words to both the U.S. single, “Knights of Cydonia”, and the UK single, “Supermassive Black Hole,” streaming at you 24/7.

Why do the UK and the US get different singles? Are we really that different? Is "Knights" going to be the second UK single, and "Supermassive" the second US single? I see this all the time, but don't understand the market well enough to get it. Perhaps we simply are two nations divided by a common Muse.

Like every other good band this summer, they are not coming to Florida frown
Oh well, I saw them last year...

Supermassive is a dance song, which is popular in the UK. Unlike the US, clubs in most of Europe play techno and other electronic music. Only in the US do more clubs play rap over electronic. Granted there are exceptions in both countries, but ultimately Supermassive would probably be pretty popular in the UK, and Knights is much more US radio friendly alternative rock.

It is actually pretty smart to release your rock song in the US, where there is a market, and your dance song in the UK, where again there is a market. In the UK they actually dance to dance music. In the US we kinda just stand there or hump each others legs like people do when listening to rap...

P.S. New album fricken rocks.

I don't like the new album that much. I don't know. Not as innovative as their older stuff. And Soldier's Poem sounds like Elvis' Fools Fall in Love.

Heard the album and I love it! Don't judge it all on Supermassive Black Hole. ~the album varies from the old Muse we love to one experimenting with a more disco-y sound. I think its great they are trying something new.... if they had continued where they had left off then it would have all sounded familiar and tiresome.

That "Knights of Cydonia" clip on the website sounds like Maiden when it kicks, which is awesome because between the new Damone record and all the Dragonforce I've been listening to, I haven't been getting enough of "the gallop".

Yeah, there are a few songs on the new album that are sub-standard, but listen to the whole thing before judging. The album is jam-packed with hard grandeur.

PS - Knights of Cydonia is undeniably awesome.

Don't kill me, but this is the only song on the album I actually like.
I was hoping this album would be some over-the-top Queen style freakout that Absolution hinted at. Cydonia is the only one that feels like that.
Otherwise it just feels like a collection of b-sides.
