The Sun reports on a genuine rock and roll hero and sacrificial lamb:

A TEENAGER bounced off his bed and out of a third-floor window to his death during a wild impression of a rock guitarist.

Excited Li Xiao Meng was jumping around with his guitar in the bedroom of a Singapore students' hostel when he made the fatal mistake.

The 16-year-old business student, from China, was "hyped up with exhilaration" when he rebounded off the bed and out of the window, coroner Tan Boon Heng told the Straits Times newspaper.

He was jumping up and down on the bed placed against an open window while imitating a rock guitarist, Mr Tan said.

The article doesn't specify which song Li Xiao Meng was airguitaring to. Whatever it was, I join Music Thing in their virtual salute. (There's a complaint in the Music Thing comments about whether it's appropriate or tasteful to joke about such a tragic event. Maybe so, maybe not, but I don't think they're joking about calling this guy a hero. And I'd be happy enough to go that way myself when the time comes.)

I know this guy who was airguitaring and jumped up and hit his head on somthing and knocked himeself out. On top of that he had to get 15 stitiches on his head after that. He said that the injury and the scar was worth it. and i agree. we all gotta go somtime so why not die whilst rocking out? In my opinion: that's a pretty good death.

Further proof that rock & roll is the Devil's music...

That's such a hardcore way to go. It never even occured to me. I like to think that as he realized his fatal mistake, he said "fuck it" and kept playing.

Wow...I thought choking to death on your own drug and alcohol induced vomit was a rock star's way out...what a way to go.
