Oasis: It's Wrong For The White Stripes To Sell Out, But It's Cool For Us

After saying that the White Stripes were "out of the club" for letting Coca-Cola use a song in an ad, it appears that Noel Gallagher has rethought things as far as Oasis' songs go. Oasis has signed a million-pound endorsement deal with AT&T.

Their single All Around The World is being used by telecoms firm AT&T.

It comes after Noel Gallagher said Stripes star Jack White had “sold out” by writing a Coca-Cola jingle.

Noel said: “I don’t believe in adverts. Jack White ceases to be in the club.”

Oasis refused to comment last night.

The best part of this story, of course, is Oasis actually choosing not to talk about something. One hopes that this trend continues.

Again, who the hell is Oasis to pretend that they have any right to set artistic standards?

i posted something about this in the original white stripes/noel gallagher thread not too long ago. at least jack wrote a specific little thing for coke and didn't actually ruin a proper white stripes song, noel sold one of his old songs that probably meant something to someone at one time or another.

and andy bell should work on reforming ride (or at least do something that creative) instead of playing second to noel and/or liam.

To be fair, if I could make several million quid for writing a piece of shit like All Around The World, I'd be fucking laughing whatever

If by club you mean a few annoying D&D fans (Apologies to D&D Players) who stand around near the baseball backstop at recess, I think is an overstatement, there wasn't much of a club in the first place.

Once again, to all D&D players out there, I am merely drawing a parallel to a fraction of your demographic, not poking fun at the noble art of the PnP RPG

I don't care for the White Stripes, but at least they're not a second rate Beatles cover band. The Gallagher brothers can suck each other for time and all eternity, and they'll never write a good song of their own.

The most over-hyped, insignificant, unimportant band ever.

Who's the nipple now, asshole?
