The Moscow Times reports that text messaging is about to take a turn for the pink:
At a party plenary meeting that focused on propaganda Saturday, first deputy chairman Ivan Melnikov said the Communists should turn to methods such as graffiti and mobile phone messaging.
Members of the party's youth wing "could use telephones to send political jokes or rhymes, or attract attention to events -- anything that motivates a person to send the message along to someone else," Melnikov said.
It's hard to imagine Marx or Engles crouched over a mobile device to tap out the Mainfesto letter by letter, but hopefully it will make propaganda as incredibly irritating and tedious for them as for everyone else.
