Because in France, you can play the coolest game of Tetris ever.

Arcade which is part of Project Blinklights is an interactive light installation, allowing mobile users to play games such as Tetris, Pong or Pacman which are displayed on Buildings, by using their mobile phones

For instance, a player standing in front of Bibliothèque Nationale de France can connect himself with the building by dialing +33 (1) 44 24 73 50




Visit Project Blinkenlights, learn the rules, add the numbers to your phone. You never know when you'll be in France.

I fucking love tetris, i rule at that game! I was in Paris in the Summer for a few weeks why didnt I know about this then?! I want to go to the world tetris convention, Im sure there must be one.

umm i know the main article is dated today, but umm did you notice the main pages for Blinkenlights hasn't been updated since 2003, and the arcade page was last updated in 2002? Are these projects even still active? They are cool, but a little dated to be "news".

I was there when they did that. the building is quite huge (for a french building, that is), so it's quite a sight. and yes it is cool indeed.
