Scientific Proof that Women Can't Drive?

Scientific studies indicate that lack of the male hormone testosterone is the cause of females' lower skills in driving and parking cars.

Apparently testosterone helps with spatial tests that allow men to perform better with three dimensional thinking than women.

It turns out most women have index fingers that are the same length as their ring fingers, unlike men, who have a distinguishable length difference between the fingers. Women who have ring fingers that are actually longer than their index fingers (in other words, those females with more 'masculine fingers'wink are much better than their female peers at these spatial tests.

Map reading and parking may prove difficult for some women because they were exposed to too little testosterone in the womb, researchers suggest.

All I know is that I used to ride to work with a girl who could parallel park at 60 miles an hour while I was holding on to everything I could in blind terror.

Is the best driver you know male or female? The worst?

And what exactly allows this inference? Seriously, what events in our past allowed us to genetically select for driving ability?

not that i'm necessarily agreeing with the premise, but it does make sense that males may have developed a better spatial sense, since males were generally the ones throwing spears into various animals.

I think there may be some truth than many men START OUT with better spatial reasoning skills than many women, just as many women START OUT with better multitasking abilities than many men. However, the real question is whether these things can also be gained through practice. I would argue that they can.

Just try to avoid throwing spears as practice. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
