Yahoo! is Spying on You

Yahoo! has updated their privacy statement, because of the lack of it you're now being shown if you're using their services.

They've implemented "Web Beacons" to track their users around the net, watching what they're doing and where they're going, much like cookies.

To visit the page where they explain these "Web Beacons" and more importantly to opt out of their snooping-- click here.

Keep in mind that if you use multiple browsers, you'll need to opt out seperately for each of them.

There is an excellent Spybot program that searches your computer for spybots and also blocks them.n I have it on my computer and it's an excellent tool for people who want to keep spybots off of their computers!

thats not a big deal. we use these tracking tools in websites all the time... it helps to evaluate what server equipment is required to run a website. its a research tool, no one's invading your computer and stealing your shit.

this isn't spyware, its an image you download in a webpage like any other.

but paranoia is fun sometimes.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't care if they aren't tracking my information, I don't want them using my activity as a basis for anything. I value my privacy... and yet, I'm not a very private person... go figure... ooo aaa

Yes it is called spyware it has been around awhile know and if it doesn't use cookies you think yahoo is the first to use it?

You don't think msn doesn't have one already?

Did you know that their is a switch on your modem that if you don't turn it off the FBI can tract you internet usage and traveling?
