Not surprisingly, sex workers are speaking out against Grand Theft Auto for its violence against virtual prostitutes. Yesterday marked the fifth annual International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, and with it came vocal outcries against the video game. Though violence is certainly aimed at every type of citizen within the game, it doesn't soften the blow for sex worker advocates. It is not yet known if future Grand Theft Autos will take this feedback into consideration.

Gadget Girls Will Heat Up Your Holidays

They're not really that amazing. They only vibrate if there's a lot of bass in the music you're listening to, and the pattern is totally unpredictable/weak most of the time. Plus, it'll actually stop entirely for much of the song. Way to leave a girl high and dry!

I was thinking either a) exploding hookers that take your health down to one when you attack them or b) randomly placed undercover cops who slap you with two stars automatically if you hit them.

Wrong criticism. The problem with that sentence is you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition. Correct usage: "the girl <i>with whom I'm having sexual relations.</i>"

I've heard the "killing virtual hookers" complaint before, and it's frankly preposterous. I don't kill San Andrean hookers out of spite, I kill them to get a refund plus whatever they were holding. And yes, this is with several million in the bank from the save/load horse track exploit. Okay, fuck you, I'm just a tightwad.

But you know what? I'm a tightwad with a clear dichotomy between San Andreas and the world in which I actually live, and I don't go around killing people, much less people I've just paid money to screw in a car (lowball estimate of zero). And they might have a legitimate complaint if "kill hookers" was a storyline mission. It is not. It it simply one of the many morally questionable things you can do in that open world. Just because the option is there doesn't mean that you have to start protesting the game.
