I'm always weary with online games, I mean I play WoW and RF Online these days and level up and mess around a bit when I'm bored but to some kids this shit is strictly life.
I remember a while ago when I played WoW some kid kept trying to beat me in PvP, he was so stubborn and always lost. A few days later some guy on the same server as me recognized my username, he went to college with the kid and said he did nothing but bitch about how I kept managing to kill him, even going so far to miss classes to try and level all in the effort to beat me. I mean I felt kind of sorry for him a little, that this game meant so much to him that he'd fuck up his real life just for some satisfaction in the game.

Also this story reminds me of the girl in everquest who had sex with about 3 guys just to get all the gear she wanted, back when that was popular.
