Please George Lucas, Please!

Make a Star Wars game for the Wii with controls like this:

Can you imagine? I just about wet myself about the time the TIE Fighter blew up. This video, BTW, is a great example of why I think the Wii is the game console to own. There’s just no way that smashing a bunch of buttons on another controller would give you the same sort of thrill and satisfaction (PS3 fanboys commence flipping out in 3. . . 2. . . 1. . .).

I'm not even saying it's not news, I'm saying there's not even really any kind of information about the actual game or anything at all, really. Even though it is readily available. I expect staff editors to actually do a little work if they're putting out an article. Otherwise, what are they on staff for, if they're putting out just whatever pops into their head without any kind of real effort?

Really? Cuz for my 8 bux a month i expected to get a suicide girl delivered to my house with a nice big ribbon and a note that says "Just for You Broken". Guess that's what i get for having expectations, huh?

SG Staff does not make you a superhero, SG Staff are people, just like you and me. God forbid they make a comment about something and it DOESN'T meet your expectations.......i am sure they will lose sleep over it.

That's why you have a mouse, try to find something you like to read about, and click on that.......and just FYI, everything on the forums will not be centered around what YOU want, you may find stuff you don't agree with and/or care about.

So you're new here, and you wouldn't remember when all of the member editorial staff got kicked out so SG could bring in professionals, with (what I'd assume) was the intent that they would class up the joint and bring some professionalism that I guess they thought was lacking before. And now we get this. Which I would honestly have much less of a problem with if things hadn't gone down with the old newswire the way they did.

So like, back to the topic?

Forget making a star wars game like this for the Wii... Anyone play that Star Wars arcade game that came out about 8 years ago? Imagine the lightsaber battle from that game using the Wii remote, it was already fun with the arcade joystick.

No, i didn't know that. But now that i do.....i....still....don't.....care. Are you losing money because of the way SG presents it's Newswire? Did your significant other leave you because of the way this article was written? Are you using SG for your main means of gathering News from the outside world?

It sounds like you were probably close to someone/or were someone from the old staff and you're pissed because they pissed in your lucky charms. Get over it, there is bigger things in the world to hold a grudge over. Quit taking life so damn serious, you'll have a heart attack at a young age.

The soul purpose of SG is entertainment.....i was entertained by the article, my "expectations" have been met.

There's literally no indication that the Wii controller is that responsive, especially given that the guy in question is moving the nunchuk like it has the same motion hardware as the remote; it doesn't.

Do you know what words mean?

Do you understand the whole concept of "reality" and how it differs from what scientists call "wishful fucking thinking"?

the only change i would make to this idea is that i'd duct tape the wiimote to my penis, because something this awesome should be explicitly sexual.

edit: aegies, honestly, who cares? have you seen ed boon's demo of the new mortal kombat controls on the wii? fine, the game wouldn't work in the exact manner that a fanboy made a video of.... it's still a ridiculously awesome and fully plausible idea to bust mad force powers on the wii.

Yeah, just like Red Steel was just like being a gun toting samurai!

Oh, wait.

Look, I want it to happen, ok? It would be amazing if it could work. Unfortunately, I really don't think it would. I don't think the wii has that kind of functionality. I would like it if they proved me wrong. But Ubisoft has a significantly better track record than, well, any Star Wars game save for Knights of the Old Republic. If they can't get it right, well, that doesn't speak well, launch title or no. But we'll see.

Boy I was kind of counting on LucasArts releasing a Jedi game for the Wii. Many of their previous titles were for the Nintendo systems.

Hmm....sounds interesting, but does the hardcore Star Wars fan have enough physical stamina to make it past Level 1 without having a heart attack?
