Apple To Announce _______ Soon

Apple CEO Steve Jobs will soon be making his keynote speech at 9AM PST from San Francisco, California. The keynote speech is expected to be Jobs' launching platform for a variety of new wares with rumors ranging from an Apple cellphone, to new iPods.

For live coverage of the keynote you can tune into MacrumorsLive.com for text feed coverage, as well as potentially still images.

If you happen to be attending the event you can find me sitting in the West Hall in The Moscone Center reading text feeds because they wont let me into the keynote. Supposedly, SuicideGirls doesn't warrant press access.

Does it come with that giant hand to operate it?

Is it a giant hand or just a very little man at the front?

One one hand, I'm annoyed of forking out a ton of hardly earned cash for the new sleek black video playing iPod on my desk. But...
I'd really consider becoming a crackhead mugger to get even more monies for one of those toys.

I'd heard the rumours and seen the fake videos, but never could have I imagined something so funky as this toy.

A companies' job is to make money, true. Some do it through advertising, lying, cheating and overhype.
I can say that, in my tiny worthless opinion, Apple are doing so well because their products work. Does what it says on the box.

I may be a corporate whore. But at least my music is on stream, my mac does it's stuff smoother than... hold on. I'm not selling I'm buying.

My biggest concern, being an international playboy type, is the question of how soon is it available in my parts of the world.
And also when can I see the (ha ha) podcast of the Macworld show?

Bugger.
I'm moving to Asia in 4 months.
Maybe I should fly there via the US.

the iPhone is awesome.

aaaand a waste of money.

If that phone doesn't make you an instant target for crackhead-muggers, I don't know what will.

Ummmm, its a locked, proprietary carrier phone. In short, utterly useless if you steal it. Not to mention the whole "Someone's gonna steal that!" sour grapes meme is a bit old and stale. My iPods have been all over the planet. No one has ever tried to take them.

Ever heard of irony? Look it up sometime. whatever

Ever heard of cogent, declarative statements? Try making one sometime. You'll find it speeds the discussion along astoundingly.

I really have to admire you for consistently shitting on absolutely everything Apple has ever done in every thread I've ever seen with you in it. It takes effort to be that persistent in your douchebaggery.

Yes, it requires awareness, skill, intellect, insight, and a long-standing reputation for being correct about the potential success of technology products in the market. Perhaps unlike you, I've actually started 5 technology companies, taken three of those companies public and helped to raise a "few hundred million dollars" to help other technology companies succeed.

I even admitted to being quite fond of the iPhone GUI in this thread, so I'm not completely opposed to alternative perspectives, which is wholly unlike your own form of douchebaggery or frailty; manifesting itself in some odd predilection to follow an industry icon off any cliff he sees fit to drag you over by your nose.

how the hell are they calling it the iPhone? That name was copyrighted by Cisco. i'm thinking it was a deal with the deal. or a large sum of money changed hands.

Um Cisco has filed a lawsuit about it. It's likely a large sum of money will be changing hands in the future.

Rumor has it that this has been in development for 5 years but the engineering staff refuses to give up the prototype.

You must have confused me with some other fanboy. Though I am a fan of Apple, I'm not a big fan of Steve Jobs.

I respect a lot of the stuff he gets done, mainly through other people, but In the kingdom of douchebaggery he probably wears the crown. I said as much ten years ago, and my opinion hasn't changed.
