iPod in a Blender: Will it Blend?

Will it blend? That is the question...

Now this an appliance company who knows its Internet strategy. The "Will it Blend" blender demonstration videos where oh-so-diggable Tom Dickson tries to see what his miracle blender won't destroy. As with any video of destruction, cats on surfboards, or 3-year-old prodigy drummers, the videos are hits and get millions of views webwide.

The most popular by far on YouTube is Will it Blend? - Golf Balls, a classic at 1,858,355 views.

The latest experiment, to blend an iPod, is clearly the best in the series thus far, without question. Its suspenseful, rewarding, and includes Tom uttering the classic line "don't breathe this" when emptying the Blendtec super blender of all that's left of the iPod: an expensive metallic mist. Treat yourself to Tom and his fearless kitchen appliance as it attacks items such as a crowbar, marbles, and a bottled beverage.

While I orignally groaned at the thought that this was another version of that asshole that took a sledgehammer to a ps3 because he hates them for some retarded reason, it ended up being FUCKING AWESOME.

I started a thread about this when the videos first came out over a month ago; they're awesome. I think part of the fun is Tom Dickinson's demeanor, happily blending away with that white lab coat and quasi-creepy smile of his. It's just a wonderfully brilliant viral marketing campaign.
