Marriage 2.0: Marry Me You Pointy Eared Mouse Thing

So this dude Shinzo, was like, "Will you marry me?" on this internet forum proposing to this girl supposedly named Rooh. Rooh was totally like, "Hey wait we've never met before in real life and you're in England and like I'm in the United States...." True story... For real, this like totally happened.

Rooh is a cute little 21 year old American girl who stumbled upon a MMORPG called "Fly For Fun." This little MMO eventually lead her to a webforum, FW. There she met the funny perverted brittish that is Shinzo. Soon they began talking on MSN and little did they know, but their conversations grew into a wonderful friendship that quickly bloomed into love. But then, Shinzo did the unthinkable! He proposed on that same forum that they met on--two months before they hoped to meet.

Meanwhile, a bunch of losers on Digg, we're totally like, "No way, what a loser!"

You can't make this shit up.

Meet her. No problem. See where it goes from there. But never having seen eachother and asking her to marry you? Over the net?!
Only MMORPG-players man...

I'm confused. Is there time travel involved in this story somehow? They met, and then he proposed before they met?

This reminds me of a couple who met and got married on a MUD where I used to code. He was from Texas, and moved to Australia to be with her and populate her hometown with fugly little kids. It's just creepy and pathetic.

it is weird. for sure. but what strikes me most is how defensive the guy gets when people vocalize how weird it is. i mean... if he's so out of touch with reality that he didn't see that coming, then maybe he should get out and meet some girls in his area...try to reconnect with reality :p ... ((shrugs)) really interesting story though!

Republicans. But who cares what they think, besides the insane religious right?
