I don't know what we did to deserve this, but Sony's reduced the cost of the PS2 from $150 to $130. They hope it will help move systems before the PS3 is released later this year, at which point all PS2s will be shipped to assisted living centers.
The new price is tempting to gamers still playing their original, fat PS2s who've been meaning to upgrade to v2 with its built-in ethernet and futuristic smallness. I'm hoping it works because on a personal level, the redesigned PS2 gave me my new hero. Just look at how excessively some unknown Sony copy writer managed to say, "IT IS SMALLER."
While inheriting the basic functions and design philosophy of the current PlayStation 2 (SCPH-50000), the internal design architecture of the new redesigned PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system (SCPH-70000 CB) model has been completely overhauled, resulting in a slimmer and more lightweight form.
This proves that the main skill learned in college, writing 20 page papers on a half-page of material, can actually be applied in the real world. But back on the subject of the PS2 price-cut, if you haven't picked one up by now, you should just learn to deal with the fact that you're not nerd enough.
