They Sell Pornography on the Internet Now!

Apparently they sell porn on the internet now, and apparently, if you have a video enabled iPod, you can get pornography on it. Shockingly, American companies are selling porn to anyone with a credit card.

Now, hold up on the "How Is This News," kids. It isn't. What is significant, however is that the horrifying (and somewhat common) spectacle of internet pornography made the evening news, and the face of this abomination is one of our own.

Unfortunately, there are some performances out there that are not for general viewing.

Frumpy Imbecile: It's just another form of technology that is used in absolutely the most appalling ways to gain access to children.

This website's American and sells short, explicit clips to anyone with a credit card.

Apparently, the most efficient way to reach children is to offer them Suicide Girls. Allow the absurdity of that statement to settle in before you watch the clip again.

Here's a novel idea: If you don't think your child is responsible enough to look at naked people, they certainly aren't responsible to get themselves into hundreds of dollars of debt. Don't give them a credit card.

If you keep your eyes open, you'll see a brief debut by our very own Reagan. She's a little blurry, but never fear — our Reagan is much prettier.

Yeah, I was just innocently listening to "Jesus loves me" the other day on my ipod, and these pop-ups overtook my screen with unclothed GIRLS... my virgin eyes! I have been a target of Satan. Come out of my ipod!

Yea, I keep seeing the commercial for that "Dirty Downloads/ Porn on your Pod" expose while I'm in the gym, but I hadn't yet actually seen it. I love how they single out SG when there are far more explicit video clips you could be puting on your ipod. It's not like internet porn is anything new. Portable DVD players have been around for quite some time and no one was worried that people would be wandering around in public watching porn on them.

whatever

iPod has explicit tags that are meant to prevent giving access to children for viewing. If parents put in parental controls all SG ipod content is tagged as explicit and will not be corruptign the minds of the youth.

Here are the easy instructions from Apple...

Restricting access to explicit content in the iTunes Music Store

If you have administrator access to your computer, you can use the Parental pane of iTunes Preferences to restrict access to explicit content in the iTunes Music Store. Users will not be able to preview or buy songs and other items in the Music Store that have been identified as having explicit content.

1. Choose iTunes > Preferences and click the Parental button.

2. If necessary, click the lock and type your administrator password.

3.Select Restrict Explicit Content.

4.Click the lock again.

Note: You must be using Mac OS X v10.3 or later to be able to password-protect access to explicit content in the iTunes Music Store. If you're using Mac OS X v10.2.8, you can disable access, but a password is not needed to reenable access.

Make sure you protect your password. Anyone who knows an administrator password for your computer can change parental control settings.

Seems pretty simple to me.

Convenient how sensationalist news media reports ignore that easy parental control feature, hmmm? PORN IS GOING TO CORRUPT YOUR CHILDREN. CAMPAIGN AGAINST IT...is much more attention-grabbing than "As a parent, you have the power to control the content that you child can access and download. Here's how."

Shocking, I know.

Actually, I've decided to go out and BUY an ipod just so I can download Suicide Girls clips.

If I remember correctly, you're supposed to be 18 years of age to even qualify for a credit card. That's the same age it's legal to buy pornography. If an 18 year old wants to take their new credit card and purchase porn, they'll do it at their local 7-11 or on the internet.

Granted, there are kids younger than 18 with debit cards that have the VISA logo on them, and they might be getting away with purchasing Internet Porn. I also realize that parents can't/don't always monitor what their children do.

Still, this is no reason to blame American companies that are providing a service. (In this case, sexy naked chicks with style!!!)

Hats off to you, Suicide Girls!!!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Someday I'll have my very own Suicide Girl!! And I'll purchase her with my credit card!!!! *GASP!!*

Don't you just love how every product and/or service that exists is clearly targeting children? The "mature readers" comics? For kids. M-rated videogames? For kids. Pornography? For kids. It's so *obvious*.

These clips don't download themselves.

They mention in the story that parents should watch what their kids are downloading. I think the people complaining are the ones that are upset that society won't bring up their kids for them.

From what I can tell ... only SGers will recognise the "american" site. They don't name them or show much of the clip. Except for a name .... Reagan hehe .. BAD GIRL!

why do things only become "worrying" when they are thrust in peoples faces through biased media? why dont people think about/try to relieve third world poverty untill its on the six o'clock news? why do they scream about computer game violence only after an inflamatory, overzealous, oversexed report on the box, when there are kids in the world who are ten years old and all they want to do is explode?!

its because that piece of shoddy reporting wakes them up and lets them briefly glimpse the walls of the bubble of naive realities they exist in. and as they cant admit to or deal with their own ignorance, they take it out on the "evils"-come-norms that evolved through their lack of vigilance.

Newspeople are all silly twits. Parents need to know what their kids are doing. Has that ever changed? Does technology change that somehow?

listen to that guy in the interview.

"as many as one in five children have downloaded pornography, either accidentally ..or... intentionally..."

ACCIDENTALLY?

heres how you do it kids!

1. you right click on the picture of crissy modelling a nine inch cock up her ass...

2. click save as...

3. save as hmm... "crissy modelling a nine inch cock up her ass" in My Documents.

4. click save...

5. watch the progress bar for a while (depending on connection speed. nag your parents to get broadband if this step takes too long).

6. when the "download complete" dialog box appears, click open and enjoy!

useful tip: mum! i... didnt see you there. this thing got into my documents by accident. i was just seeing what it was. must have been one of those virus things.
maybe you should go and moan at someone about it.

This website's American and sells short, explicit clips to anyone with a credit card.

They really should start having you send in two forms of ID before you can access the site.

I guess the good news is that they've managed to keep hardcore websites from giving away explicit sample clips to anyone. Or else they wouldn't be worrying about people selling it to kids, right?
