Gay Man Granted License...to Drive

A court in Sicily has reinstated a gay man's driving license which was revoked after authorities found out he was gay.

The authorities suspended his license due to his exemption from military service, which also happened because he was gay.

In a written ruling released on Monday, the Sicilian court said: "It is clear that sexual preferences do not in any way influence a person's ability to drive motor cars safely."

The judges added that homosexuality "cannot be considered a true and proper psychiatric illness, being a mere personality disturbance".

I don't see where the judge said this was an outrage. As a matter of fact, the judge may not personally agree with his ruling. I would hope that a judge never expressed such a emotional response to a case as outrage.

You're right, it was the guy's lawyer.

Wow - that's messed up. I had no idea that honking and whistling at hot chicks while driving was considered an essential skill as apposed to just a habit. The dead give away would be when he honked and instead of yelling something like "nice ass!", it would be something like "I like your shoes!".

Well Italy is in the EU, and the EU law courts take a very dim view on these sorts of things... I'm surprised a national court can still get away with that.

But can gays walk properly? im not sure they can handle public transport either those warped individuals that they are.
They should all be locked up if you ask me and my Judge friend.

A judge said that.... he should get the boot, and so should the people who took that mans license and kicked him out of the military.
